Acupuncture

Roger Fong, LAc, MPT

As an Acupuncturist and Physical Therapist—and the Founder, Owner, and Clinical Director of this practice since 2015—my work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and a sincere belief in the body’s natural capacity to heal. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every person feels seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. My approach blends the wisdom of traditional Eastern medicine with the clarity of Western medical science.

I routinely help individuals manage stress, back and joint pain, headaches and migraines, neurological symptoms, facial weakness, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, allergies, fertility challenges, and recovery after medical procedures. I am honored to serve patients from many different backgrounds, including numerous veterans in the VA Community Care program.

I show up for my clients each and every session and I expect the same from my clients.  To achieve one's goals require a collaborative mindset and open communication.  I use acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, tui na, gua sha, and cupping, and I also emphasize the importance of lifestyle practices such as nutrition, restorative sleep, stress management, and mind-body techniques. In conjunction, I will integrate my skills as a physical therapist to train proper body movement to reduce any potential mechanical stresses on the body.  Collaboration is important to me, and I work closely with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care is consistent, clearly communicated, and centered around the patient’s needs.

I draw from a variety of acupuncture systems—including 8 Principles Theory, Five Element Theory, Channel Theory, Master Tung, Korean Hand Therapy, auricular, and scalp acupuncture—to personalize each treatment. Whether someone comes to me with internal medical concerns, emotional stress, or acute or chronic pain, my goal is always to provide meaningful relief and support them through each step of their healing process.

My mission is to meet each person with empathy and expertise, blending traditional wisdom with modern understanding, and to help them experience greater comfort, balance, and quality of life.

Anna Bloomfield, LAC, DACM

Hello! I am a dedicated acupuncturist and board-certified herbalist committed to providing compassionate, whole-person care rooted in trauma-informed practices.

I work with a wide range of health concerns, including chronic pain, stress, mental-emotional health, genitourinary complaints, digestive issues, orthopedic pain, and recovery from medical procedures. To ensure my patients receive the most effective care, I utilize a wide variety of methods, such as Master Tung’s points, Five Element acupuncture, Yin Yang theory, and Motor Entry Point (MEP) needling, alongside non-needling modalities like Gua Sha and cupping. If someone is interested in exploring herbal medicine, I work diligently to find effective formulas tailored to their individual dietary needs and financial circumstances.

My personal health journey as someone living with a chronic pain disability has greatly shaped my clinical practice, and has deepened my understanding and compassion for those seeking relief. My approach is centered on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where each individual feels seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. I am honored to serve diverse communities and prioritize collaborative, personalized care that respects each person's unique needs and goals.

I earned my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2024, completing clinical rotations at Jesse Brown VA Hospital and Chicago Women’s Health Clinic. I currently serve as a teaching assistant at PCHS, supporting students and faculty in clinical education.

Outside of work, I’m an avid reader at my local library, and you can often find me performing improv comedy in Chicago as well as spending quality time with my cats, partner, and friends. I am passionate about advocating for healthcare and social justice liberation here in Chicago and beyond.
